പഞ്ചമഹാജ്ഞങ്ങൾ                   

ഉപനിഷത്തുകളിൽ  പഞ്ചമഹായജ്ഞങ്ങൾക്ക്  വളരെ അധികം പ്രാധാന്യമാണ് ഉള്ളത് .അഥവാ പഞ്ചമഹായജ്ഞങ്ങൾ മാത്രമാണ്  ഹൈന്ദവാചാരങ്ങളുട മൂലം

Panchmahaygna 

Panchamahayajna has high significance in Upanishads.
Else Panchamahayajna is the base of Hindu tradition

1. ബ്രഹ്മയജ്ഞം                                   

രാവിലെയും വൈകുന്നേരവും ചെയ്യുന്ന   മന്ത്ര ജപവും ,സന്ധ്യാവന്ദനത്തെയും    ആണ് ബ്രഹ്മയജ്ഞം എന്ന്  പറയുന്നത്    

 1.  Brahmayajnam

Morning & evening rituals such as chanting mantras & sandya vandanam

2. ദേവ യജ്ഞം                                               

അഗ്നിഹോത്രം , ദർശപൗർണമാസ്യം ,ചാതുർമാസ്യം   തുടങ്ങിയവ 

വേണ്ട സമയത്ത് അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുക                           

നിത്യാഗ്നിഹോമമാണ് ഇവയിൽ പ്രധാനം 

2. Devayajnam

Do yagnas such as nityaagnihomam,Agnihotram, Chatyrmasyam etc  on time

3. പ്രിതൃയജ്ഞം                                            

അച്ഛനമ്മമാരെയും , വിദ്വാന്മാരേയും ,  വൃദ്ധരേയും പൂജിക്കുകയും      

 രക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുക  

3 Prithryajnam

To save and give respect to mother, father,  scholars and old people etc

4. ന്യ യജ്ഞം                                      

അതിഥി കളെയും അർഹരായമറ്റുള്ളവരെയും രക്ഷിക്കുക ഭക്ഷണം     നൽകി തൃപ്ത്തരാക്കുക 

"അതിഥി ദേവോ ഭാവ "

4. Nir yajnam

Treat gust well with food and facilitate with necessary needs

5.ഭൂത യജ്ഞം                                              

പ്രാണികളോട് കരുണ കാട്ടുക   

5.Bhoota yajnam

Pay homage to the animals other than humans

YGNAS  / യജ്ഞങ്ങൾ

അടിസ്ഥാന ഗ്രന്ഥമായ യജുർവേദത്തിൽ  വിവരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ആചാരങ്ങൾ

1. അഗ്ന്യാധേയം                                               

 ഗോപഥബ്രാഹ്മണം  5.5.8

2. അഗ്നിഹോത്രം                                                      

ശതപഥബ്രാഹ്മണം  2.2.4.17                                       :  

സൂര്യദേവനു വേണ്ടി പ്രഭാതത്തിലും  അഗ്നിദേവനു വേണ്ടി സന്ധ്യയിലും       

 ചെയ്യുന്ന ഹോമമാണിത്   

2. Agnihotram 

Satapadha brahmanam 2.2.4.17   
 Agnihotra ygna is the offering for Sun God at  early morning and Fire God at evening                                                           

3.ദർശപൂർണമാസം                                     

 വെളുത്ത വാവിനും  കറുത്തവാവിനുമാണ്   ദർശപൂർണമാസം ചെയ്യുന്നത്          

3.Darshapoornamasam       

Darshapoornamasam  is the offering to God  on Full- moon day and New-moon day
 

4. ചാതുർമാസ്യം                                            

ഫൽഗുന മാസത്തിലെയും , ആഷാഢമാസത്തിലേയും ,       
കാർത്തികമാസത്തിലേയും     പൗർണ്ണമിക്കും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഹോമമാണിത്

5. Chaturmasyam

Chaturmasyam is the offering to God   on the full moon day of the four months of Indian calendar
such as Bhalguna, Ashada & Karthika

6.അഗ്രഹായണം                                            

ഉത്തരായാണത്തിന്റയും    ദക്ഷിണായനത്തിന്റയും                   
ആരംഭത്തിൽ ചെയ്യുന്ന യജ്ഞമാണ്  അഗ്രഹായണം

6.Agrahayanam  

Agrahayanam is the Ygna for the offering to God at  the beginning of two equinox

7.അഗ്നിഷ്ടോമം                                                             

വർഷത്തിൽ ഒരിക്കൽ വസന്തഋതുവിൽ   നടത്തുന്ന യജ്ഞമാണ്                         

ഇതു താണധ്യബ്രഹ്മണത്തിൽ പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്നു 

7. Agnisthomam

This offering is done once in a year.Reference is on Thandyabrahmam

8. പിതൃയജഞം                                                               

പിതൃക്കളെ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്താനും സത്പുത്രനെ ലഭിക്കാനും ചെയ്യുന്ന                    യജ്ഞമാണ്

ഇതു ശതപഥ ബ്രാഹ്മണത്തിൽ  പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്നു

8.Prithru Yagnam

Prithu yagna is the offering for the dead people to attain mukthi and also to obtain cleaver and smart children

9. പഞ്ചമഹായജഞം                                                

വളരെ പ്രാധാന്യമുള്ള യജ്ഞമാണിത്  

എല്ലാ ദിവസവും മുടങ്ങാതെ ചെയേണ്ടതാണ്‌ ഈ യജഞം

10. രാജസൂയം                                                               

സിംഹാസനാരോഹണ  സമയത്തു  ചെയ്യുന്ന യജ്ഞമാണിത്                          

 രാജസൂയം കൊണ്ട് രാജാവാകുന്നു എന്നാണ്‌ 

10. Rajasooyam

This ygna is performed by the king at the time of   his sussession to thrown

11. അശ്വമേധം                                                                            

ചക്രവർത്തി ചെയേണ്ടുന്ന യജ്ഞമാണിത്                            

 എല്ലാ ദേവതകളും ഇതിൽ വരുന്നു സർവ്വദിക്കുകളായും 

 ജയിക്കുന്നവനാണ് ഈ യജഞം  ചെയ്യുന്നത്

11. Aswmedham

Performed by emperors who need to expand his kingdom

12.ഗോമേധയജഞം                                                         

ഭൂമിയെ വളക്കൂറുള്ളതാക്കുക   പുതിയ വയലുകൾ കിളക്കുക                            

പുതിയ ദ്യുപുകൾ കണ്ടത്തുക   എന്നിവയാണ്  ഈ യജഞം                          

കൊണ്ടുദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നത് 

12.Gomedhayagnam

To make the land fertile,to plough new  land to find new islands  This ygna is for farmers
